The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for the company, including the delivery and collection of goods, furniture, documents, and staff as required. The role ensures that all trips are completed on time, vehicles are properly maintained and kept clean, and all road safety regulations and company procedures are strictly followed, while supporting daily operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive company vehicles to transport furniture, goods, staff, and documents as assigned
- Ensure timely delivery and collection according to daily schedules and operational need
- Assist with loading and unloading of furniture and other goods when required
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tyres, cleanliness, basic safety checks)
- Maintain the vehicle in clean and good working condition at all times

Report any mechanical issues, accidents, damages, or delays immediately to management
- Ensure all delivery notes, trip sheets, and documents are properly completed and acknowledged
- Maintain the vehicle in clean and good working condition at all times
- Support other operational or logistical tasks when required
Must Have
- Valid driving licence (appropriate category)
- Proven experience as a driver (delivery, logistics, or commercial driving preferred)
- Good knowledge of roads and routes in Mauritius
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and discipline
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
- Honest, reliable, and respectful attitude
Nice to have
- Previous experience in furniture delivery or retail operations
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or urgent trips when required
